Review: Voodoo Sector:Nala Kingsley

Voodoo Sector: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance Voodoo Sector: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Nala Kingsley
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐ stars

Voodoo Sector is a fast paged, at the edge of your seat, zombie apocalypse type of book. The book centres on Calliope, a young woman just trying to survive in New Orleans after the Zombie and others apocalypse. Once night when she is out hunting, she hides in an old voodoo store where she finds a talisman, but everything goes up the creek when instead of defeating zombies with it, she makes super zombies. Enter her four Faerie hunters who are sent to hunt her and the talisman down. It doesn’t really work out that way and the five of them come together to try and defeat the zombies, whilst protecting each other and trying to build a relationship.

This book is classed as a reverse harem story but it doesn’t really come together until the latter part of the story and the build up of romance and sexy scenes are slow. This primarily could be because the five are constantly fighting zombies and trying to survive. All characters are unique and different which makes it easier to figure out who is who and Calliope the main character is wonderful if at times a little naive.

There is certainly a lot of action in this book with a lot of killing of zombies and some wonderful writing in regards to New Orleans. If you like your harems, zombies and feisty characters, then this is the book for you!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
