Review: Wrecked - E.M. Shue

Wrecked Wrecked by E.M. Shue
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Wrecked by E.M. Shue is book one in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Alaska Chapter and boy is it an emotional ride. The book tells the story of Scout aka Riddler who is President of the new Devil’s Handmaiden MC in Alaska and Thad. Both of the have a complex history and are on different sides of the law. Years ago, Riddler left with a lot of secrets and has come back to Alaska with just as many as she tries to find out what happened to her father. Thad, never understanding why Riddler left has some resentment towards her, but it is only through him finding out the truth, that his card of lies falls apart and he is determined to have Riddler in his life again, no matter how complicated that might be.

This story had a lot of secrets, betrayal and drama with lots of twist and turns, all which seem to lead back to Riddler, and not necessarily her fault. I love that she is a strong character who does have a streak of vulnerability that runs through her. She doesn’t put up with Thad and his ultimatums and is a wonderful mum to her young daughter. The feelings that her and Thad have for each other are complex but passionate and also complicated, making this a wonderful and suspenseful read.

There are some great characters in this book and I can’t wait to see what more this series has to offer!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

Review: Matching All the Way - Veronica Eden

Matching All the Way Matching All the Way by Veronica Eden
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars

Matching All the Way is a seriously sexy holiday read which will have you laughing and swooning all the way through the Christmas season. It tells the story of Cole and Eve. Eve has always had a crush on Cole, her brother’s best friend, they grew up together and always seemed to have a connection and with Cole being back as an Assistant Coach for her father’s ice hockey team it seems that fate is going to keep throwing them together, especially since they keep matching up on a dating site. Trying to keep each other in the friendship zone is going to be tricky, especially when there is an undercurrent of sexual tension which is going to blow up at any moment.

Cole is a sexy and sweet main character; he totally gets Eve and her ADHD. He’s supportive and takes his time with her and let’s just say he is a master at the dirty talk! He is one of the best book boyfriends ever. Eve is equally as sweet and super quirky but has a goal and with Cole’s help and some sheer determination, she’s going to make it work.

Overall, this was a seriously sweet, sexy and all-round great read. Some great characters and low drama make it the perfect season read. A definite recommend from me!
