Review: The Hitman's Desire - T. Steele

The Hitman's Desire: A Mafia Romance The Hitman's Desire: A Mafia Romance by T. Steele
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

This was a great first time read by a new author for me. The Hitman’s desire looks at Ruby who has just found out that her father is alive and the head of the Mafia. Enter John, her father’s hitman and we have an amazingly fast paced story which focuses on Ruby and John building a relationship whilst Ruby learns the ins and outs of being a mafia ‘princess’, but it’s not as straight forward as it would seem as Ruby now has a bulls-eye on her, and only John can protect her.

This was a great story and I liked the slow to underwear melting burn that Ruby and John had between them. There are quite a few sexy scenes and boy are they hot! There’s certainly a lot of twist and turns in this book and I would like to see more about other characters that came up in this novel and their stories.

John’s background story was intriguing and it helps you to understand why he is the way he is and certainly helps the development of the story and how he feels about building a relationship with Ruby. Ruby is a classic character who grows into herself as you’re reading, my only downside is that she cries a lot for me, but that could definitely be an age thing!

Overall, a really good, sexy mafia read!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
