Review: Descent - Natasha Knight

Descent Descent by Natasha Knight
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars
Descent was one of those books that you just can’t put down and binge read into the early hours of the morning! Natasha Knight weaves a tale of intrigue, passion and darkness in this book which tells the story of Persephone and Hayden ‘Hades’. Two souls which are entwined together through darkness, blood and secrets.

Persephone has nothing left, no money, no house and no identity, all due to the choices her father has made which has basically left her and her step-sister destitute. Enter Hades, a man from her past who swoops in to take the lot, including Percy. But Hades and Percy’s relationship has a lot of players and someone wants both of them to know the truth about what happened years ago and to stop them from having a relationship now.

This was a dark and edgy read. Percy was an amazingly strong character, especially with everything that has happened to her. Her relationship with Hades is flawed, sexy, oftentimes controlling but full of passion. There are some amazingly hot scenes in this book (you’re not going to look at butter the same again). The story line keeps you wanting to keep turning the page until you know what has happened and you see that everyone is guilty of something. Some scenes are brutal in their honesty and sometimes cruelty and shows you a dark side to life which many of us aren’t exposed too.

A really good, dark, sexy read.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
