Review: Blow Out - Jackson Kane

Blow Out Blow Out by Jackson Kane
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐stars

Blow Out by Jackson Kane is a keep you on your seat, intense MC story. What makes it so intense is that it isn’t a hero/heroine type of story, but a really gritty, pushes into your psyche and doesn’t let you go type of story. If you want sweetness and light, this book isn’t for you, it is harsh, often violent and flawed.

The characters Remy and Star aren’t your typical sweet characters. They have both had harsh lives and have to make big, hard decisions along the way. Star pays the price for something that she shouldn’t have seen and instead of running (which would have cost her life) she ends up going with Remy and his MC back to their clubhouse, but this isn’t a sweet story and what happens to Star is actually quite frightening and graphic. The idea of the club, what it stands for and who the men and women are that live there is harsh in its reality and makes you want to keep turning the pages.

Remy is all hard-edged arrogance and doesn’t go out to help Star but for some reason he does. He’s lived a hard life and this is seen in the way he interacts not only with his brothers in the club but also the women. He also doesn’t seem to be a talker! (Just saying)

I don’t want to give any spoilers away so if you want to know more about this book, then you have to read it. It is a harsh, more truer writing about the MC life, but you’re definitely going to enjoy it!

ARC received for a fair and honest review.
