Becoming Us is the second book in the Return to You Series which follows the story of Lawrence, Gabi and Connor from young adults to older and the relationships and misunderstandings they have along the way. I didn’t read the first book in this series but I didn’t feel confused about what was going on. Basically, Lawrence ‘Law’ loves his girlfriend Gabi, but also has feelings for Connor. Connor loves Gabi but also has feelings for Law and Gabi loves Law and has some attraction to Connor. At the start of the book you can see that Gabi is too young and conflicted to enter a polyamorous couple, no matter how ready Law is or how confused Connor is about the whole thing.

Enter years later where the three come together again due to a wedding and you know sparks are going to fly. What was interesting about this book is that it is written from the points of view of all three characters so you really get into the psyche of what each one is thinking about the other and the situation in general. Although for me there were points where I felt that Gabi was really cruel to Law and she would have been quite happy had the relationship been between just her and Connor.

There is plenty of angst in this book between characters but also plenty of sexy moments which seem to balance out the book. There are also some pretty sweet moments, especially between Law and Connor and I definitely think this book would have worked as an MM book not just a MFM book. An enjoyable read if you like angst, drama and some hot scenes.
