Review: Wild Card - Renee Rose

Wild Card Wild Card by Renee Rose
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Wild Card by Renee Rose is a fast paced, steamy romance set in the world of the Mafia. Caitlin isn’t your usual main character, having a dis-associative disorder, being a hacker extraordinaire and stealing thousands from the Mafia to pay for her and her brother college tuition, she is the epitome of hot mess! Having ‘out of body’ experiences when she is stressed, she uses sex as a way to counteract that and my are them some steamy sex scenes between her and Mafia brother, Paolo Tacone whose family Caitlin stole the money from.

From the beginning this story starts off with a bang with us quickly finding out why Caitlin stole the money as well as Paolo’s role in his family and why he wants the money back. Straight away there is chemistry between the two main characters which flows from beginning to end in the book. There are moments of sarcasm, beautifully put together declarations of love and some great wit!
Paolo Tacone is a hot character to read about, he knows what he wants, he is a businessman and heaven help anyone that tries to hurt Caitlin. There is also a small vulnerability about him which we see throughout the book which was great to read about and certainly made him more human and relatable.

This was a fast read for me, it has the old adage of having a quick story-line with a HEA whilst having some obstacles thrown in the way and some sexy BDSM scenes which many readers will enjoy.

If you want to while away an afternoon then I would recommend this book.

ARC received for a fair and honest review.
