Review: Vengeance Road - Christine Feehan

Vengeance Road Vengeance Road by Christine Feehan
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Vengeance Road is the second book in the Torpedo Ink series by Christine Feehan. It's set in the MC style romance with some hard hitting issues which may trigger some readers. The book looks at the relationship between Breezy Simmons a young woman who has grown up in the MC life with her father and brother who aren't good people. Abusing Breezy from a young age, both sexually, mentally and physically she has had to grow up quick. Thinking she was in love with MC brother Steele, but not everything is as it seems and Breezy is left alone and devastated.

Fast forward to the future where Breezy has to find Steele again to let him in on some secrets and get his and his new MC: Torpedo Ink's help. Steele is a chameleon of a character, having to play role in the previous MC he was in to save children from a horrendous fate, he thought the best thing he could do was cut Breezy loose so she was safe and she could live her life, having no idea of the secret that she had to hide and what he must do to protect both Breezy and his son.

This was a really intense read for me as both characters as well as secondary characters had suffered unspeakable horrors and certainly were different from those 'normal' types of people in society. That being said you want to keep reading until you find out what happens at the end and can I say, I can't wait to read the stories of other characters. Breezy and Steele's relationship is deep, scarred and passionate. You understand why Steele is the way he is and the author has dealt with his PTSD in a sensitive manner. Breezy for me was just an awesome character, she was so strong, sassy and also didn't bend to Steele's will just because he wanted her too.

There is a lot of action in this book with a really intriguing and captivating story line. Sexy scenes are passionate and leave you wanting more and I can't wait to read more books in this series. You also don't necessarily have to read them in order unless you want to.
