Review: Boss: The Men of Monroe Enterprises - Scarlett Ross

Boss: The Men of Monroe Enterprises Boss: The Men of Monroe Enterprises by Scarlett Ross
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐ stars

Boss: The Men of Monroe Enterprise is by new author Scarlett Ross. Ainslee is the main character whose family have lost everything (you never quite know if it was through their own faults or through someone else’s, it depends who you ask) and helped other people lose everything.

Basically, the family are the most hated family in New York. But that’s not going to stop Ainslee who is going to make sure that she helps her father clear his name and she can only do this by working at Monroe Enterprise, working her way up and bringing the four main men who work there to their knees. But they aren’t going to make it easy for her and are basically going to treat her like trash (as does the rest of her extended family and people at work) and intend on breaking her.

Overall this was a good read if a little dry and wordy in parts. I didn’t particularly feel anything for any of the characters and found Ainslee really hard to relate too and the story didn’t really come to anything until about 2/3 of the way through. That being said...this is a reverse harem/bully romance which is in a number of parts, leaving the story on a cliff-hanger where we find out what happens in the next book…. hopefully. A good first book.

ARC received for a fair and honest review.
