Review: Sweet Revenge - Jennifer Hanks

Sweet Revenge Sweet Revenge by Jennifer Hanks
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

This was a really great read for me. Not only do you have two fantastic characters but also a really great story. Maggie O’ Brien has had a tragic life, first with the death of her mum and the circumstances that brought and then falling for a man who turned out to be cruel and abusive. To save herself, Maggie goes to the Sinner’s MC to help them and also to ask for help for herself, but she isn’t trusting and she has put up emotional barriers which make her feel isolated and alone.
Ryker ‘Gunner’ Evans fell for Maggie when he first saw her. He is brooding, sexy, strong and a fighter. Fighting his own demons, he knows that Maggie can help him get revenge on his old MC but at what cost?

This was a brilliant story from start to finish, the relationship that Maggie has not only with Gunner, but also Bear and the rest of the MC’s bikers and ladies was written so well and had a lot of depth. There was some moment in the book which were really raw emotionally, having seen what both Maggie and Gunner have endured at times was quite upsetting as you know that there are people going through similar things on a daily basis. But, both of these characters are strong and it was exceptionally nice to see Maggie get strength and confidence the more time she spent with Gunner and the MC.

This book can be read as a standalone but is also part of a series (which I am totally going to read). A must for MC fans who like gritty, honest, brutal story-telling.

ARC received for a fair and honest review.
