Review: In Peace Lies Havoc - Amo Jones

In Peace Lies Havoc In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐ stars

In Peace Lies Havoc was a pretty different book for me as it had lots of twists and turns that you had to keep on top of and sometimes it just didn’t make all that much sense to me.

The story centres on Dove Hendry a dancer with deep, hidden secrets who is kidnapped and whisked away to Midnight Mayhem which is a dark, twist on a circus. There she is put with The Brothers of Kiznitch and the four aren’t happy to have her within their troupe, especially Kingston Axton.

Kingston Aston is dark and troubled. Brooding and harsh. There is a deviousness to him that makes you take a quick step back and this is no different for Dove, who is pulled a dozen ways not only between King, but also the other brothers as they enfold her into their game of cat and mouse.
Dove is an interesting character in that she is so quiet to begin with, always thinking before she speaks, but has an inner spark and sensuality to her which comes out when she is dancing. She is almost tortured by the brothers, but doesn’t let it break her, after all, she has already endured so much which can be seen in the flashbacks that she has about when she was a little girl.

There are a lot of characters in this book which means that you have to be alert when you’re reading and by the end of the book, everything will make sense. The setting and descriptions of what Midnight Mayhem look like are dazzling and you certainly feel like you are there when you’re reading. The first book definitely sets you up for the second one. Also, did I mention that there is a cliff-hanger!

If you like seriously dark, twisted book with hardcore sensuality, a strong feisty heroine and smoking, brooding men, then this is one for you!

ARC received for a fair and honest review.
