Review: Mason - Michelle Heard

MASON MASON by Michelle Heard
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Mason by Michelle Heard is one of those books that pulls you in and doesn’t want to let you go. This is the second book in the trinity Academy Series and if you’ve read the first book ‘Falcon’, you would have met Mason and Kingsley who this story is about. Mason Chargrill is going to be the President of CRC Holdings and that entails. He comes across as cold and callous after a family tragedy has left him devastated. Enter Kingsley, a bubbly and lovely young woman who gives as good as she gets to Mason, who she is now assistant too. Nothing Mason seems to do bursts her bubble and he can’t figure out how she has managed to wheedle her way into his heart.

This was a great addition to the series. Mason and Kingsley are great together and it was wonderful to read how that was happening. There were some tense moments throughout the book where Kingsley was in danger and Mason didn’t know how to handle his feelings or even what being in a relationship would mean, but it all seemed to work out and I have to say that Kingsley seemed to make Mason more human and help him with his family tragedy.

I loved the building relationship that Mason had with his mum and dad and what that looked like and the courage it took to face those emotions head on. As always, the rest of the gang are back and the camaraderie and love they have for each other is really touching as a reader. There are so many emotions when reading this book and although it has a HEA, it isn’t really tied up in a bow, highlighting how ‘real life’ the stories that Michelle Heard write. I can’t wait to read lake’s story which is the next one in the series. Overall, a great read for me!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
