Review: After the Fall - Giana Darling

After the Fall After the Fall by Giana Darling
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

After the Fall by Giana Darling is the fourth book in the ‘Fallen Men series’. The book focuses on the story of Cressida Irons and King Kyle Garro (who you would have met in book 1) and shows how their relationship has progressed in the past four years since we last met them. Although they have both gotten a  little bit older, they are still in love, still have plans and still have some sass and attitude until trouble comes knocking for them.

Everything seems right with both King and Cress. Cress now owns her dream book shop and things are looking right for the romantic prospect that we know as King, although he does seem frustrated that he is still a prospect and doesn’t seem to be moving forward with the club. That all comes to a head when the club and it’s members start to be targeted by the local ‘dirty’ police and corrupt Mayor in Entrance. Even though things had started to look up, it seemed like it was the calm before the storm.

This book is a page turner… not only do we see King and Cress, but the rest of the gang are here and as things start happening to them, you can feel yourself getting angry on their behalf! The things that this MC endure are just terrible and there are some really heart-breaking moments in the book (no more details as it will spoil it).
The banter and sexy scenes between Cress and King are as dirty as ever and you know that they just click. There is a side story that focuses on them getting married and it’s such a great moment, it fits beautifully in with the book.

This is a must read story which is full of heartbreak, love, family and the lengths people will go to too protect their own. Gina darling has done it again in this superb book….well done!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
