Review: Dark Queen - Ker Dukey

Dark Queen Dark Queen by Ker Dukey
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Dark Queen is a sinfully dark and sexy read from Ker Dukey. The story looks at the developing relationship between Alyssa and Luca. Alyssa is seeking a new opportunity away from her hometown and the life she wants to leave behind. Getting a place in a prominent ballet school seems to be the only way, but it isn’t as easy as she thinks until opportunity comes knocking on her door and a chance encounter with Luca Leto turns into opportunity and obsession.

This was a quick read for me as the story just grabbed your attention from the get-go. Alyssa and Luca are as dark as each other and both border on being a little bit crazy, which seems to suit them just fine. Alyssa was a tough nut to crack as she just tells people what she thinks without thinking about the consequences and is quite selfish in her world view. This is certainly complimented by alpha-hole Luca who just has a commanding and almost violent presence. He quickly becomes obsessed with Alyssa as they navigate their relationship whilst people are trying to kill them or intervene in their relationship.

There is suspense and twist and turns on every page, with some extremely scorching sexy scenes between the characters that literally set the pages on fire! This book definitely holds you captive and isn’t for the faint of heart.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
