Review: Ache - Marley Valentine

Ache Ache by Marley Valentine
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Ache by Marley Valentine was such a bittersweet, friends to lover page turning read! The story is about Gael and Jordan. Jordan was brought into Gael’s family when he was seventeen and his parents threw him out for being gay. Having been best friends for years it seemed to be the right thing to do, only throughout their time together Jordan’s feelings for Gael have grown…the only problem is, is that Gael isn’t gay, and he is going to be married soon. The story follows along as the two men navigate their relationship until a bachelor party in Las Vegas changes everything and not necessarily in a good way.

I loved the flow of this book and the backstory we got about Gael and Jordan’s relationship and well as Gael’s relationship with his fiancée. There was a lot happening in this book emotionally and we got to see both men being vulnerable and making decisions based on what they thought was best for the other one.

Gael’s family throughout the whole book were so great! They had so much wisdom, laughter and pure joy that it really added to the story of what can happen when you have a supportive family, even if they aren’t your blood.

Jordan and Gael’s chemistry is off the charts, and it definitely keeps you turning the pages. There are moments of pure tragedy, which is followed by pure joy in this book, and you are rooting for both characters the whole way!

A beautiful, friends to lovers read!
