Review: Bane's Choice - Alyssa Day

Bane's Choice Bane's Choice by Alyssa Day
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Bane’s Choice is book one in the new series: Vampire Motorcycle Club by Alyssa Day. The story focuses on Bane a centuries old vampire and Doctor Ryan St. Cloud. Bane is the quintessential, arrogant male who at the beginning of the story comes across as really angry and in need of revenge. Being part of a MC also means that he has a lot of people to look after but at times he can come across quite heartless as he doesn’t really care about who dies in his club except a few close ‘friends’. The story starts strong with us being encapsulated in a paranormal story where all the things that go bump in the night live and breathe in a modern world, but don’t necessarily get on.

We’re introduced to the head strong Doctor St. Cloud when Bane barges into her hospital trying to help his seriously injured friend and tried to glamour the head strong doctor, which just doesn’t work. Here, Ryan enters a world that she never knew existed while questioning everything she knows and her sanity. But like most paranormal books, the human isn’t going to be left alone and she is dragged into Bane’s world, albeit a little bit reluctantly.

There is a lot going on in this novel (mainly due to the fact that it’s the first in a series), not only do we have the building love story between Ryan and Bane, we also have the fight for territory between the supernatural factions going on as well.  As a reader I was a little confused at the beginning as you really do jump into the middle of the story before really knowing anything about Bane and his MC, but more info comes out throughout the story which helps to place where people belong and a little bit of their history.

This is an exciting new read with a twist on the traditional MC book. If you like your men broody and your women headstrong, then this is the one for you!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
