Review: Wolf Trouble - Paige Tyler

Wolf Trouble Wolf Trouble by Paige Tyler
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

OMG this book was great. I haven’t read a Paige Tyler book before, but I couldn’t put Wolf Trouble down. This book centres on the Dallas SWAT team, which has never had a female officer on it before. That changes when Police Officer Khaki Blake is placed on it due to political reasons and also because like the rest of the Dallas SWAT team, she is also a werewolf. Here Khaki meets her Commanding Officer, Senior Corporal Xander Riggs, a hot, domineering, hardworking SWAT Team member who is going to put Khaki through her paces, if only he could stop the undeniable attraction he has to her!

Khaki and Xander’s heat is off the charts and no matter how much they try to fight it whether it be chemically, emotionally or physically they just can’t stay away from each other. There are scenes in the book (like the shower scene) which are quite funny as they try and mask their scents from other team members, or the yoga scene which is just plain awkward for Xander. Then there are some tender scenes when both characters get hurt.

This book was a great read; it had a lot of action, intrigue and spiciness to keep you guessing. I really like the relationship that all the characters had with each other as well as Paige Tyler’s ideas about werewolves which was quite different from the traditional ones. She also looked at themes such as belonging to the ‘old boys club’, being on a team as well as giving us an in-depth look at how a SWAT team works. It will be interesting to read more of this series and see how other characters find their ‘one’ as well as see relationships develop with the older characters.
Overall, this is a great read if you like romantic suspense as well as a bit of werewolves.
