Review: Wicked Cravings - Suzanne Wright

Wicked Cravings Wicked Cravings by Suzanne Wright
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐stars

This was a library book recommendation read for me and although it is book 2 in a series, it can be read as a standalone. The books theme is centred on shifters (one of my favourites to read about) and balancing pack business, relationships and confrontation.

The books main characters are Jaime Farrow, a wolf shifter with a secret….well more than one! She has been in love with Dante for a long time although he seems to be a bit immune to her charm, wit and pure sassiness! Jaime is resolute that she is going to move forward and leave Dante behind. If only he would let her!

Dante is the dominant Beta wolf for his pack and he doesn’t have time or the inclination for a relationship, especially with Jaime. Having been hurt in the past, Dante isn’t willing to risk his heart or his sanity again. But when Jaime turns her affections elsewhere, neither Dante nor his wolf are prepared for that! Dante is determined not only to uncover Jaime’s secrets but to also break through all of her defenses and claim her heart.

Dante and Jaime are definitely an odd couple in that they are always fighting with each other, although the make-up sex was pretty amazing to read about, fighting to keep their independence yet on the other side they want to keep each other close whilst also fighting issues that are going on within the pack dynamics. They are both supremely strong willed and it is only towards the middle/end of the book that you see both of the characters give a little bit.

The story overall was well written with an in depth look at not only characters but also the scenery in which the book is set. The incredibly hot sexy scenes (definitely page turners) are an added bonus. A must read series for shifter/romance fans.
