Review: Waiting for Milo - Angel Devlin

Waiting for Milo Waiting for Milo by Angel Devlin
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Waiting for Milo is a cute story with a side of seriousness. It follows the characters Violet Blake who is looking for a new start and is nostalgic about the former house that she used to stay in with her Nan. Moving back to the small town is all about thinking about the past and moving into the future, but along the way Violet bumps back into the Waite family, who used to be her Nan's neighbours and especially bumps into Milo Waite, caveman, protector and stubborn mule who has had a crush on Violet since she was a young girl and even labelled her Rapunzel. We see that life isn’t a fairy tale for either Violet, Milo or the Waite family and family secrets come to the forefront, whilst Milo helps Violet with her new house and they both try hard to not fall in love.

There are a lot of twists and turns in this book as well as character building scenes due to it being a new series. There is a lot of banter between characters and some steamy scenes thrown in to keep you turning the page. There is a lot of nostalgia, what ifs and just life in general problems that come with growing up. A sweet book with a good story-line.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
