Review: The Devil's Angels MC - Lola Wright

The Devil's Angels MC The Devil's Angels MC by Lola Wright
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Lola Wright is a new author to me and her series The Devil’s Angel MC is a great start to a sweet, steamy and action charged MC series. The story focuses on Ava who has had a hard life. Left on the streets to die by her druggie mother, tossed from numerous foster homes and viciously attacked in her own home, she has barely survived the life she has lived but things are looking up. She has her own bakery which she hopes to expand a menagerie (the bird is hilarious) and ends up in the sights of the President of the Devil’s Angel MC. As you know with MC romances, not everything is plain sailing, but the ride sure is fun.

Gunner who is the President of the Devil’s Angel’s MC is hard but fair, smoking hot and has his sights set on Ava from the minute he step[s in to help her escape from her crazy neighbor. There he introduces her to a tribe of other members of the club, some more forthright than others and they all seem to have their own personalities and place in this story.

The scenes between Ava and Gunner are hot and although there are a lot of bows tied, it was just a refreshing story to read no matter if you thought some things were far-fetched! I loved the animals and the relationship that Ava has with Axel and Petey. I also really liked the drama of the story-line, not only on the new relationship mishaps that Gunner seems to get him in, but also the gritty story of Ava’s survival and how that came around full circle. It genuinely left a smile on my face and made me realise that MC romances don’t always have to be gritty.

The story flows and you want to read more about all of the characters and what makes them tick. I’m going to continue with the series because it was fun, light-hearted and steamy and sometimes that’s all you need in a book. A great read from a debut novelist for me.
