Review: WOLF - Rebecca Zanetti

WOLF WOLF by Rebecca Zanetti
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars

Wolf by Rebecca Zanetti is book one in the Stope Packs series and boy is a good, unputdownable book! The story focuses on Mia Stone and Seth Volk. Mia is a former FBI agent who after being asked to consult on a case in the middle of nowhere, finds herself in the middle of mystery and intrigue and the focus of mystery man Seth. She knows something is happening in the mining town of Lost Lake, but she is in for a surprise when secrets come to light and put her in imminent danger!

Mia was a great character who knew her own mind. She also knows that her previous case catching a serial killer is unfinished, but no one believes her until strange things start happening again. Her relationship with Seth is complex as they have a love/hate relationship, mainly due to the fact that Seth has so many secrets and seems to be blocking her investigation any way that he can.

Seth is a deep and mysterious alpha male whose main objective is to protect his family and their secret, but he can’t deny his attraction to Mia and what lengths he will go to too protect her, even if it is from herself. Their relationship at times is intense and complex. I don’t want to give too much away as there is a great twist part way through the book and the story intensifies.

I liked that the story had a mix of romance, intrigue with a dash of paranormal and it definitely kept me wanting to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. The intensity between the characters was great and I can’t wait to read the next book!
