Review: Iced Out - Veronica Eden

Iced Out Iced Out by Veronica Eden
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Iced out is book one in the Heston U Hotshots and new series by Veronica Eden. The story focuses on the characters Easton and Maya. All Easton has ever wanted to do is play ice hockey, but his thoughts on that change a little when he takes an instant attraction to Maya, the only problem is that she is the sister of another teams player and to say that they don’t get on is an understatement but this isn’t going to deter Easton and he uses his wily ways to see that he is the one for Maya and he is willing to do anything to make sure she knows how special she is to him.

Maya was a great character; she was sassy and knew her mind and the relationship she had with her grandad was really sweet. She is also taken by Easton but has been hurt by a hockey player before. But Easton being Easton kind of wheedles his way into her heart with his sexiness and sheer persistence. It is also great that Easton is there for her through the good times and the bad which shows Maya that he is a keeper!

This was a wonderfully sweet book, with some sexy times and some emotional ones too as two young people figure out that they belong to each other and can still have the careers that they are working hard for. There are some great relationships with family and team members in this book which make it an overall great read! There also wasn’t a lot of drama between the two characters which was great, they kind of just worked well together and got stronger the longer they were together. I loved reading what happened to them after college, and I’m intrigued to see whose up next in this series. Overall, a delightful read with great characters who find their happily ever after.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
