Review: Every Time We Touch - J.E. Parker

Every Time We Touch Every Time We Touch by J.E. Parker
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Every Time We Touch is book 5 in the redeeming Love series by J.E. Parker. The story focuses on Kyle and Carissa. Kyle has had a difficult life since the death of his sister, not only does he blame himself, but he feels like his family do too, leaving him a hollow man, that is until he meets Carissa a woman who enthralls him from the start, and he knows that he has to have her.

Carissa looks after her father and sister after her mother’s death. She carries a lot of guilt due to her mother’s death and the financial struggles that the family are going through. But a chance meeting with Kyle puts her on a different path of love and self-discovery whilst growing as a person.

The book jumps three years from Kyle and Carissa meeting, and we see the angst that both characters go through with their families, and they come to terms with their new relationship. Kyle is quite domineering and really wants to look after Carissa (mainly due to his won trauma), but there isn’t any doubt that he loves her! Carissa is also quite naive but seems to follow Kyle without having many doubts. She definitely starts to know herself more as the book progresses.

The book focuses a lot on friendship, forgiveness and self-growth and there are quite a few characters to keep track of throughout the book. If you like your books sweet, with a slow burn theme and some angst, then this is the one for you.
