The Devil
You Know by Veronica Eden is a standalone, contemporary romance about a girl
falling for her brother’s best friend. Tate is heading off to college, but
before she does, she wants to lose her V card, but not just to any stranger, to
the sinfully hot Cooper, who also happens to be her brother’s best friend. But
soon both have feelings that they can no longer hide, and emotions get in the
way.
This was
a very sweet read. Tate and Cooper have off the chart’s chemistry. Tate is also
a fun and quirky character with her lists and plans. Cooper definitely upsets
all of that but also makes her live a little. Cooper is also very much the boy
next door, but he is a genuinely sweet character who doesn’t want to hurt Tate
and tries his best to do the right thing. There’s only a little bit of drama in
this book compared to other books by Ms. Eden, but it is well worth the read!
There’s a
lot of steam between the two characters which keep the pages turning in this
book. Both characters are well suited and bring out the best in each other.
Definitely a good book to while away some hours!
