Review: Tainted - Andi Jaxon

Tainted Tainted by Andi Jaxon
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars

Tainted by Andi Jaxon is a very emotional, pull at your heart strings MM read! The story focuses on Dean and Taylor. Dean has had a difficult life. Rejected by his family for being his true transgender self, he tries to protect himself as much as possible, shunning physical touch, coming to terms with who he is and isolating himself from a community that can often be cruel, he lives a very isolated and solitary life. That is until Taylor comes along, hoping to get his car fixed and finding the enigmatic, grumpy mechanic may just be the person he is looking for.

There is definitely an instant attraction between Dean and Taylor. But both of them are quite shy and reserved due to the circumstances of their ‘coming out’ and past history. Taylor is also a football player so is reserved about coming out as bi, especially due to what happened to him during his high school life. But he has some super supportive friends and a great mum who sees that love is love and it comes in many different forms. I also loved that Dean had Braxton, this glittery unicorn of a man who won’t let Dean sink any deeper and is helping him to keep his head high in the face of adversity.

This is a beautifully written novel about love and what people must overcome if they don’t fit into the ‘heterosexual’ box. This book captured by heart, it talked about some really hard topics which we should be talking more about! Let it be know that we are here and we’re not hiding anymore!

Andi Jaxon is a must-read author for me! This was absolutely brilliant!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
