Review: Skirt - K.L. Savage

Skirt Skirt by K.L. Savage
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Skirt is book 5 in the Ruthless King series by K.L. Savage and boy is it a scorcher! If you’ve read previous books in this series you would have been introduced to the slightly eccentric Rohan ‘Skirt’ Blackwood. Skirt is originally from Scotland and after the tragic death of his brother, he is out for blood. Enter, Dawson ‘Dawn’ West, a woman who has been abused and left for dead in the desert. Through sheer chance, or rather luck, Skirt literally crashes into Dawn and their stories become interwoven, especially when Skirt finds out that Dawn has a connection to his brothers’ killer!

I loved this story from the first page until the very last. Skirt, although part of an MC has such a sweet vulnerability to him that your soul literally hurts reading his story and his obsession on finding justice for his brother as well as Dawn. He is a strong protector of Dawn, but also has a dark and ruthless side that only she can bring out. He is certainly a one-woman man and boy does he dote on Dawn throughout the book, even when she is literally throwing punches his way.

Dawn on the other hand has been through her own trials and tribulations. She is strong and feisty and is willing to do anything to get her child back. I also love that she doesn’t put up with any crap from the club changerounds and stands her ground when she comes up against her worst nightmare. I also loved the banter that went on between these two characters as well as seeing characters from previous books and more about their stories.

This is a series that I am going to continue to read, because it is fabulous. They have fabulous stories and fabulous characters who will do anything for each other, but also hold each other accountable. If you’re not reading K.L. Savage’s Ruthless Knights series, then you need to start now!
