Review: Revved To The Maxx - Melanie Moreland

Revved To The Maxx Revved To The Maxx by Melanie Moreland
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Revved to the Maxx is a new standalone by author Melanie Moreland. The book focuses on the grumpy Maxx Reynolds. After being burned in a previous relationship and trying to balance his business and life, he needs some help. Putting an add out on the internet for a new employee turns up Charly…or Charlynn. Charlynn is down on her luck, needing to start over due to being robbed of all of her money, losing her job and having the creepy landlord from hell, she is ready to get out of dodge and start afresh. With a case of mistaken identity, a hot night of passion and dramas galore, Charly and Maxx’s relationship is going to knock your socks off.

This book was brilliant. Not only do you have two likeable characters and sub-characters, you also have a great story as both Maxx and Charly try and stop the feels that they have for each other whilst trying to build Maxx’s business. There are a few drama moments in this story which push the book along as well as some serious sass and steaminess too.

Charly has a lot of charm, attitude and goodness in her in comparison to Maxx’s surly and often grumpy-bear demeaner, but underneath it all, they are both vulnerable and that comes through when you’re reading the book. I love the things that Charly does for Maxx, even though 90% of the time he is going to growl at her. And I also loved the realisation that Maxx has when it comes to Charly and how she isn’t like his ex.

This was a great read and I have to say that Ms. Moreland is one of my new favourite authors and I can’t wait to read more from her.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
