Review: Chaotic - T.S. Snow

Chaotic Chaotic by T.S. Snow
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Chaotic is book 1 in the Arcane Mage series by T.S. Snow. The book tells the story of Charisma. Magical engineer and pariah of her family. She is a tech genius, nerd, and certifiable hot mess! The story revolves around Charisma and the families of the Arcane trying to get Charisma to work with them whilst taking on the Rebellion. There are moments where you laugh out loud at Charisma due to her just being her quirky self, whilst feeling for her on the way her family treat her. There are some moments where you want to give her mum a slap!

This is definitely a slow burn, reverse harem book and although we get quite a bit from one of two of the harem, I definitely think we are going to get more backstories in the second book and secrets are going to come to light.  There are multiple points of view in this book which is great as you get a feel for the characters and get the underlying story of what they want for Charisma – even if they don’t quite get why they’re so attracted to this hot mess!

I love that Charisma designs MET’s and the male characters and their families pretty much can’t live without people who make these magical instruments and have to at times lower themselves to ask for help (it’s just not done in the families!). As well as the fact that Charisma may look sweet, innocent, and flighty, but she has a core of strength, some amazing moods and a great personality which makes her a fantastic character.

The story is fast paced and you’re going to literally die when you get to the end…. can I say epic cliff-hanger! It has been a while since I’ve read a paranormal reverse harem story like this which I have thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend! I can’t wait for the next installment.
