Fallen is book 7 in the Dark In You series and focuses on the story of Maddox and Raini. Raini will do anything to save her best friend Khloe, even make a deal with a demon who has archangel blood in him, making him someone powerful and who now Khloe is in debt too. Maddox wants Raini but, on his terms, as he has his own secrets which he cannot let Raini know, even if it hinders them becoming more to each other. But, when some unforeseen force starts targeting Maddox, the gloves come off and he will fight to the death and by her side to find out who is trying to cause her harm, even if he has to go against his own people!

I really enjoyed this book and liked the relationship that Maddox and Raini grew to have, I particularly liked their demon’s too and how integral they are to parts of the story. Maddox definitely grows on you as a character the more you read the book, you see why he isn’t emotionally available to begin with and how he sees Raini as his light.

Raini is just a great, sweet but strong character. She has put up with a lot in her life (stepsister for one!) but just seems to get on with it. She thinks nothing about helping her best friend or even helping Maddox when he needs it. Maddox’s demon sees how strong she is and that’s why he’s attracted to her and protects her when she needs it, as does Maddox in his silently stoic way!

I really enjoyed the twist and turns this book took as well as the family that Raini has behind her. There are some great one liner’s by Khloe as always! Overall, a really great addition to this series and I can’t wait to read more!
