Longtime
Crush by Carrie Ann Ryan is book 3 in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series and
looks at the characters Sebastian and Raven. We know that Sebastian has had a difficult
few year with the love of his life dying. He is trying to be a good dad to his
daughter Nora, whilst working full time and trying to keep his in laws from
doing anything drastic. But when his best friend from the past shows up,
questions are raised on why she left to begin with and what is Sebastian going
to do with the feelings that he has for her?
Raven has
been in love with Sebastian forever but knew that he didn’t feel the same way
about her, so she stepped aside for her other best friend Marley. When Marley
died, life for Sebastian and Raven took on a different twist and raven left to see
what more she wanted out of her life. But home is calling her and her feelings
for Sebastian are just as strong today as they were them.
I enjoyed that the story had elements of the
past into it and that Sebastian and Raven knew each other before they took a
step from friends into lovers. There were moments of sadness throughout the
story when Raven questioned herself and Sebastian didn’t step up, but overall,
there was low angst but lots of emotions. Throw in a wonderful little girl and
a great set of characters and you have a very sweet story about finding love
after devastation.
Overall,
this is a really good addition to this series and I can’t wait to see whose up
next.
ARC received for a
fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
