Review: Thrust & Throttle - Emma Slate

Thrust & Throttle Thrust & Throttle by Emma Slate
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Thrust & Throttle is book 4 in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club series by Emma Slate and it is a great addition t the series. The book focuses on the characters Duke and Willa who along with their friend, Savage makes a trusty group of friends. Only Willa and Duke’s friendship has gone into forbidden territory which makes Willa nervous. Is she going to stick it out with Duke, or is she going to let life get in the way of her being happy?

This was a wonderful read. Although sometimes, you did want to give Willa a bit of a shake when she was going to and fro with her feelings for Duke, especially as some of her excuses were a bit flimsy. She did have a lot going on though, with her mother being a flake, looking after a teenage sister and worrying about what her other best friend, Savage would think about her relationship with Duke. Luckily, Duke was quite patient with her and helped her to work through her anxiety.

Duke was a great alpha male, who had a great sense of humour and protection when it came to Willa. He wasn’t scared at all to take his relationship with her to the next level and his dirty mouth…wow! I loved that even though he had a soft side to him, he didn’t take any crap and fought for his MC brothers, especially when drama raised its head!

The story started out quite slow but picked up the pace the further into the story it went, especially with the added drama from the cartel, which really highlighted the MC side of things in the story and the lengths they will go to, to protect tier women! The story also had some great sexy times between Willa and Duke, which nearly melted the pages as well as some great family times between other members of the MC. This series is definitely turning into one of my favourite MC series and I hope you’ll give it a try too! I can’t wait to read the next one!
