Review: Roses and Skulls - L.M. Terry

Roses and Skulls Roses and Skulls by L.M. Terry
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars

Roses and Skulls is book 3 in the Rebel Skulls MC series by L. M. Terry and boy is it going to take you on a rollercoaster ride. We’re thrust straight into the story when we meet Billie Rose who has been through a traumatic event which has left her broker. Refusing to use her voice and angry at her family, she wants to make someone pay for the death of her beloved grandfather, she knows the only way that she is going to become stronger is to find the one who hurt him and avenge his death….little does she know that it is going to open a can of worms and secrets are going to spill forth that could change everything.

This story was unbelievably emotional at times as Billie Rose struggles with the aftermath of her grandfather’s death and surviving her own ordeals. The lengths that she goes to to stay sane at times are heart wrenching and even though she has the support of her family….at times, she just wants to do it alone.

I enjoyed at the beginning of the book that you didn’t know who was going to be her love interest and I have to say that Elijah was an intriguing character, alpha male, but soft when he needed to be. Nothing about Billie Rose and what she went through scared him and he just kept being there as her protector and strength when she needed him to. I also liked the side story about the crows too, it was a very interesting perspective.

Overall, this was a great story with some triggers that other readers might find difficult. But overall, the story is about overcoming what life throws at you, as well as dealing with our pain in our own way without judgement. There’s definitely a lot of twists in this story and reading the previous books would help with who the characters are, but it certainly doesn’t detract from the story if you don’t know who everybody is. Definitely not a story for the faint of heart!
