Review: Dex - Rie Warren

Dex Dex by Rie Warren
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Dex by Rie Warren is a seriously sexy, mafia romance and the third book in the O’ Sullivan Brothers series. The story focuses on supremely alpha male Dex and the equally strong and opinionated Ivy. Ivy has a function in Dex’s family club and wants everything to run smoothly, even down to the clothes that the help needs to wear, to say that this rubs Dex the wrong way is an understatement. When both of them meet, it seems to be instant dislike between the two of them, but there are also sparks flying which sets off a series of events which puts the two into close and sexy proximity, especially when Ivy learns some home truths about her father and what he does for a living.

Dex and Ivy are scorching on the page and get up to a lot of shenanigans. Both characters are certainly headstrong and try to dominate each other, but Dex is totally an alpha male who isn’t going to let Ivy step all over him, especially in the bedroom. Ivy is also a woman that knows her mind and what she wants. There are some moments of vulnerability between the two when it comes to communication and when Ivy becomes a sort of pawn between Dex and her father.

There are some good twists and turns in this book and the story keeps you wanting to turn the pages. The chemistry between the two characters also makes it a very enjoyable mafia read!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
