Running on Diesel by Melissa Foster
is a red heart read. The book looks at the sizzling relationship between Tracy
Kline and Desmond “Diesel’ Black. Tracy is a woman with a past, making a new
life for herself after leaving her abusive partner, she is untrusting and on
her own but is welcomed into the
Whiskey and Dark Knight family like she is one of their own and is slowly
building up her confidence in herself. Diesel is on Tracy’s radar, but for all
the wrong reasons; arrogant, grumpy and protector. Did I also mention hot!
Tracy has an insatiable attraction to the nomad biker, but he may jeopardise it
all by not being open with her and sabotaging their relationship before it
takes off.
This was another wonderfully written
story by Melissia Foster that throws us into the deep end of long time hurts
and trying to heal from our pasts. Diesel’s relationship with his mother was
special and he definitely carries how he feels about her during the story, it
was quite heart-breaking when he learns some truths about her which may paint
her in a different light.
Tracy and Diesel’s chemistry is off
the charts. They are both pig-headed at points, feisty and say it like it is, both
of them being hurt in the past. But there is just something about them together
which makes them come off the page. They have such a deep and emotional relationship.
Does it have misunderstandings…definitely, but it is truly real. There are some
hot and sexy scenes thrown in for good measure, some laughs, tears and some
drama. Characters form other books pop in an make themselves known which is
also wonderful.
I really love this series and can’t wait to read more. Definitely a book you want to read from beginning to end in one sitting!
