Review: Blindsided - Becca Steele

Blindsided Blindsided by Becca Steele
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars

Blindsided is a new M/M romance by Becca Steele and is book one in the LSU series. The book literally starts off with a bang as first year student Noah crashes his car into that of another student, Liam. It is dislike at first sight and even more so when both men find out that they are going to be roommates. The book looks at the attraction both men hold for each other but their relationship comes with a lot of baggage; Noah from his past and what happened in school and Liam as he comes to terms with his sexuality. They definitely have a love/hate relationship in the beginning, and both seem to love antagonising each other.

I loved the relationship that Noah and Liam had as well as the input from the rest of the roommates (you’ll notice a few older characters popping up). Liam’s realisation of his sexuality was dealt with in a sensitive manner and Ms. Steele highlighted all of the emotions and vulnerabilities people go through when ‘coming out’. I also loved the fact that Noah didn’t push Liam, even though he had his own disappointments and vulnerabilities of being just a ‘friends with benefit’ person throughout some of the book. Liam’s conversation with his mother was perfect and a wonderful addition to the story!

This was a really wonderful, college, enemies to lovers romance and kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen. I can’t wait to read more in this series and see what happens with other characters.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
