Review: Rookie Move - Neve Wilder & Riley Hart

Rookie Move Rookie Move by Neve Wilder
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Rookie Move is book one in the ‘Playing for Keeps’ series by Neve Wilder & Riley Hart. It is a sweet, M/M bi-awakening read and follows the story of Garrett McRae and Warner Ramsey. Garrett has had a crush on Ramsey forever, but he is his brother’s best friend and one of the best NFL Quarterbacks playing. Being in college was easy for Garrett as he was able to keep his lust for Ramsey under control,  but when he is selected to play for the same team Ramsey is on, the gloves come off and the sparks are going to fly.

Although Ramsey is bi-sexual, he has never experimented with men but is definitely tempted when it comes to Garrett and his cheeky personality. But to come out with Garrett would mean putting his football career online and being front and centre of a media storm that s sure to ensue. But Garrett is so sinful and is definitely going to tempt Ramsey any way he can!

I loved the story between Garrett and Ramsey. It was sweet, sexy, heartfelt and everything in between. I loved Garretts confidence, but I also loved his vulnerability which he only tended to show to Ramsey. The road for the two men isn’t easy, especially when they are trying to balance their professional life with there personal one, dealing with homophobes, difficult parents and their own challenges along the way.

This story was beautifully written. It was fun, sexy and sweet. I loved the relationship that Garrett had with his brother and how he was so comfortable with himself. Ramsey had a lot to go through in this story and with Garrett by his side, he definitely helped him get his happy ever after. Scenes were sexy between the two and I loved that they even had a solid friendship before they became more intimate. A really good read!
