Review: Fender - Andi Rhodes & Nicole Cypher

Fender Fender by Andi Rhodes
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Fender is book one in the Soulless Kings MC series by Andi Rhodes and Nicole Cypher. The book focuses on Fender and Charlie who have a history which turned violent and chaotic one night which ended in Charlie running for her life and Fender trying to pick up the pieces of his life after the murder of his parents and the destruction of his MC. Not knowing Charlie’s motives and thinking she had something to do with all the carnage, he believes his MC brothers when they say she was involved. Charlie coming back into the picture years later makes for the perfect time for revenge, but not everything is what it seems, if only Fender could believe what Charlie says.

This was a good book, it had moments of being dark and gritty especially from the side of Charlie who is fighting to clear her name every chance she can get. Fender can sometimes be harsh with Charlie and tends to believe what his MC brothers say without really any proof which was frustrating at points, especially when he had such big feelings for her and knew that she belonged to another MC.

The story develops as we see Charlie trying to make piece with that night as well as fight her attraction for Fender ( who she’s never forgot), try to heal past hurts with the rest of her family and stay off the Soulless Kings radar as she is always going to be guilty in their eyes until the proof is thrust upon them. Charlie was definitely the stronger character in the book with her bike riding ways and saying what she thought, and it will be interesting to see if she pops up in future books. Overall, a good start to a new series.
