Review: Tidal Wave - E.M. Lindsey

Tidal Wave Tidal Wave by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟 stars

Tidal Wave is book one in the Broken Chains MC series by E.M. Lindsey. The book focuses on main characters Gunner and Logan. Gunner is part of the Broken Chains MC and has spent most of his life running from his horrific past. He keeps his head down, works hard at his job and looks after his little sister, but he feels like he is always looking over his shoulder and with good reason too, the past is never far away! To make his life more complicated Logan enters the scene, a young, deaf man who is trying to find his own identity and make ends meet. Doing some odd jobs for the MC whilst balancing his other two jobs means that he doesn’t have a lot of time to spare, but when he is thrust into danger, it is up to Gunner and the MC to look after him.

This was definitely a slow burn read with Gunner and Logan kind of feeling each other out throughout the book until they do get together. There is also a lot of other things going on in this book such as Gunner’s past coming back to haunt him as well as trying to keep his sister and Logan safe.

We also see from Logan’s POV and how he communicates with the world. I enjoyed him teaching the others on how to use ASL as well as seeing what Logan’s life was like with his family. Although they gave him all the love he needed, he still felt like they didn’t quite know who he was.

Overall, a slow burn MC read with questions that will get answered over the course of the series.
