Review: Mafia Prince - Vi Carter

Mafia Prince Mafia Prince by Vi Carter
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Mafia Prince by Vi Carter is book one in the Young Irish Rebels series. The books main focus are the characters Maeve and Jack. Maeve has a lot going on in her life, not only is she trying to finish school and juggle a job, but she is also looking after her alcoholic mum and addict brother. That is until her brother has a debt that he is unable to pay and Maeve steps up to the plate and into the crosshairs of Jack, her friends’ brother, who makes no qualms about how much he dislikes her.

Jack is next in line to become head of his Mafia family and that means he needs to get his hands dirty. At no point was he ready for Maeve to come in and disrupt his life, especially when she brings her own problems to his front door. Arrogant and occasionally mean to Maeve, we see Jack develop and share his hidden feelings for her as the book progresses, but it’s not without a lot of twist and turns, drama, a debt being paid and some violence.

As this is the first book in the series we are introduced to a lot of characters and have small snippets into their roles within the Families and it will be interesting to read their stories later in the series. Jack and Maeve’s attraction is instant, but does take a little while to get started, but when it does…instant fireworks!

This was a good Mafia read in a new series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
