Review: Kiss Me First - Anna B. Doe

Kiss Me First Kiss Me First by Anna B. Doe
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Kiss Me First is the prequal to the Blairwood University’ series by the wonderful Anna B. Doe. The book focuses on Emmett and Kathrine. Emmett is a football star and genuinely nice person. On first seeing Kathrine, he is smitten, and we follow along with his story as he tries to woo Katherine ‘Kittie’ whilst trying to get her to be more relaxed and have fun.

Katherine has just moved in with her Aunt with her younger sister from California. Both Katherine and her sister seem to move from place to place due to their flighty and selfish mum. On her first day at a new school, she meets Emmett and although she is weary of him to begin with, he is soon knocking down her defenses and learning a whole host of secrets about her.

Emmett and Katherine’s story was beautiful to read. It has just enough drama, angst and passion to keep you turning the pages. They are both just genuinely nice people to read about, in a town which is super sweet. The drama is definitely cantered on Katherine and her life both in California and things that she learns once she has moved in with her aunt.

Secondary characters such as Katherine’s sister and Emmett’s best friends just add to the story and it will be interesting to see if some of them get their own book in the future. Anna B. Doe is just one of those instantly gratifying authors for me as her books are always wonderful to read and set in beautiful locations with great characters. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
