Review: Charity's Torment - Ann-Marie Davis

Charity's Torment Charity's Torment by Ann-Marie Davis
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Charity’s Torment is book one in the Moreno Mafia series by new author to me, Ann-Marie Davis. The book centres around Charity, a young woman who made a deal with the Mafia to save her brother. Only  now her brother is missing, and she seems to be getting into a lot of trouble, both sanctions by her boss Luca, and also putting herself in harms way when she follows her instincts.

This book is classed as a dark, reverse harem and there are certainly elements of this. Charity’s three men Luca, Nico and Max are all vastly different and vying for Charity’s attention in a variety of different ways. The fact that Charity is a little bit crazy, has a strong personality and is sassy as anything adds to the story, not only with her men, but all of the people that she meets. I especially love the snark that she throws at her overbearing mother!

This book was a quick read for me, mainly due to the great characters and the fast-paced story line with some action going on as Charity acts as an enforcer for the Moreno family and she definitely enjoys her job! This is the first book of a trilogy so there is a cliff-hanger at the end of this book, but it just keeps you wanting to read more….I’m already on the second book!

A really great mafia story, with a little violence, a lot of passion and some great characters thrown into the mix. I definitely recommend!
