Salvador is starting to be a one-click author for me. Malum Discordiae tells
Schuyler “Sky’ Liu and Paxton “Padre’ Chase’s story. Both are sent to a new
location where some dark deeds seem to be g0ing on. Contractors have said that
things have gotten thrown and there is an odd feeling. When Sky and Padre
arrive things seem to heat up and the evil that is surrounding them seems to
want Sky and it’s willing to kill her to have her. The lead up to Sky and Padre
getting together is a slow burn. The two of them have been dancing around each
other for a while and both of them have a lot of baggage that they seem to be
carrying with them.
This is a
slow burn romance with a lot of creepiness and twist and turns thrown into the
mix. If you like paranormal investigations, then you are really going to love
this book. Not only do we get some history about locations in New Orleans, but
you also get immersed in the supernatural element as Sky and Padre fight to not
only stay alive but get answers to Sky’s past that are thrilling and
captivating at the same time. I also enjoyed that Sky and Padre had conflicting
beliefs and how that worked within the story.
Overall, a really great read which was great for the month of October but can definitely be read at any time. I can’t wait to see whose story comes next.
