Blood of
the pack by Cassie Alexander is book one in the Dark Ink Tattoo series and is a
fast-paced, action packed read! The story focuses on the characters Angela and
Jack. Angela is the owner of Dark Ink Tattoos, a werewolf and hiding from her
old pack and ex-boyfriend who is currently in prison and Jack, works for
Angela, and although there is some attraction there, he hasn’t done anything
about it and is a little bit of a player. When Angela starts to get threatened
and her son is put in danger, things seem to get more real for the both of them.
There is
a definite feel of will they/ wont they in this first book with a lot of sexual
tension and a lot of sexy scenes which definitely make the book a lot spicier! This
book has a smorgasbord of paranormal characters such as witches, werewolves and
vampires as well as an MC thrown in there too, so if that’s your jam then this
paranormal romance is the one for you.
Overall,
the story has a lot of twist and turns, is told from both characters POV and is
a good set up as a first book in a series.
