Review: Callous Prince - Becker Gray

Callous Prince Callous Prince by Becker Gray
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Callous Prince is book 2 in the Hellfire Club series by Becker Gray. This is Lennox and Sloane’s story and boy is it a story! Lennox has hated Sloane from the moment he heard her name murmured. Mainly due to what Sloane’s father did to Lennox’s, for that, he is going to destroy Sloane, breaking her slowly into a million pieces and owning ever single one!

Sloane is  a contradictive character in that she is strong but vulnerable with a touch of Veronica Mars to her. Her main goal in life is to follow in her father’s footsteps and make sure that he sees her, but she doesn’t count on Lennox Lincoln-Ward being there at ever turn, to taunt and try to break her!  I loved that the two characters were complete opposites of each other. I mean Lennox is literally a Prince!

Although both characters are out to ‘ruin’ each other, there is definite chemistry between the two. And whilst we as a reader get why they both are going against each other, there is a little bit that says, ‘are they too loyal to their fathers?’ After all, both Lennox and Sloane’s fathers don’t have clean hands and sadly both of their children are trying to help them (some in nefarious and secretive ways).

There are a lot of hot and bothered scenes in this book which makes the chemistry of the two characters come off the page. Add into that an intriguing story, a fast-paced plot and some great characters, you’ve got yourself a really good book. I can’t wait to read more of this series!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
