Review: Styx and Stones - Kristine Allen

Styx and Stones Styx and Stones by Kristine Allen
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Styx and Stones is book 2 in ‘The Demented Sons MC – Texas’ series by Kristine Allen. The story focuses on Styx and Gwen. Styx is the Enforcer for his MC, but his life gets turned on its head when he is betrayed by someone he loves, and it leaves him feeling desolate about a lot of things. That changes one night when he meets Gwen, a sweet schoolteacher , who he spends one magical night with. Not thinking he’ll ever meet the strait-laced woman again; he goes all out….but fate has a way of intervening and throwing Gwen back into his path.

Styx and Gwen just seem to work. Although Styx has a lot of rough edges, he is also super sweet and we see that in the way he treats Gwen, who having just got out of a bad relationship it a little bit anxious about starting a new relationship. Especially someone from a motorcycle club, has tattoos and doesn’t seem to fit into a box she’s created. Gwen has also been hurt in the past and this comes out in the way she lives her life and interacts with people, always thinking she isn’t good enough, but Styx soon changes that perception.

This is a really good addition to the new series. There is enough angst, passion and twist and turns to keep you turning the pages. Of course, if you love your men sexy and alpha, then you’re going to love this book. A wonderful story with some great characters!
