Review: Seer - S.E. Welsh

Seer Seer by S.E. Welsh
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

Seer is book one in the Titanomachy series by S.E. Welsh. The story focuses on Chloe, an immortal who has had a hard road in her young life. Blinded in an attempted murder, the pain and suffering she has gone through has brought her powers of being a seer into the forefront. To make matter worse, she has now been put in front of the Council where she is expected to use her new powers to find out what is happening to other immortals, whilst trying to stay alive, working out a new relationship whilst staving off advances from another, all with her trusty Hellhound, Bailey by her side.

This book is a series of twist and turns, wrapped up in some wonderful story-telling about the Gods & Goddesses of the past and how they are alive and well in the ‘new’ world’. Chloe was a great character with some sass, strength and vulnerability. To have been blinded and trying to see through others eyes brought a different element to the character, who was just delightful to read about. The relationship she has with both sons of Ares: Phobos and Deimos was both funny, strong and new to all three of them, as was the bond that both Chloe and ‘Boss’ started feeling towards each other which added a complication and complexity to the story line.

There was something for everyone in this book; old tales, passion, intrigue, friendship to name but a few. It was definitely a page turner with interwoven stories which just left you wanting more, not only from Chloe but also from the other characters that she met on her journey. From beginning to end, this book sucks you in and keeps you enthralled until the last page!

This is a definite must read for all those fans of paranormal romance that have a really strong protagonist!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
