Review: The Danger You Know - Lily White

The Danger You Know The Danger You Know by Lily White
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars

The Danger You Know by Lily White is a standalone stalker type genre. The book focuses on Ari and Adeline’s relationship. Ari is an assassin and one night after he kills Adeline’s father, he sees her through the window and becomes instantly obsessed with her and it is the first time he has felt the emotion of guilt when he has killed someone. From there we see his constant obsession with Adeline, which goes on for years in an almost cat and mouse type game between the two of them.

Ari is a dark character and although you might not agree with his methods, he certainly gets things done. His obsession with Adeline is gritty, dark and intense, he won’t let her pretend and that is something throughout the book that Adeline is good at. She is one of those characters that is intense in the role that they are playing. Mixed in with that is her sleep disorder which is intriguing as throughout the book you’re guessing about what she does know or can recall or if everything is just a product of her life.

The duel POV keeps you entertained as you get into the psyche of each character and the way the author writes, keeps you invested for every single page and you dig deep into these two amazingly broken people that only seem to be their true selves with each other. The connection between the two characters is raw, sexy and intense with some exciting twist and turns thrown in to keep you off balance.

This is a dark, titillating read which keeps you reading until the early hours of the morning…it’s just that good. With amazing writing and an intriguing story, it is certainly one of my top 2020 reads!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊
