Review: Death - Laura Thalassa

Death Death by Laura Thalassa
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars

Death is book four in The Four Horseman series by Laura Thalassa and the end to a brilliant series! The book focuses on Lazarus, a woman who cannot die, not by humans, the elements or by Death himself, which makes her intriguing to him. When he comes into her life repeatedly and leaves a trail of destruction, Lazarus knows that she must do anything that she can to stop him, or for him to at least help him to see that the end of humanities destruction may not be the way! Making a deal with the three horsemen might be the only way that Lazarus can save humanity, but at what cost?

From the get-go, Death aka Thanatos has been an intriguing character. Dark and mysterious with wings of an angel, he is an enigma, who comes across his own mystery in the form of Lazarus, a woman who he is attracted to but doesn’t quite understand. The build up between the two characters was page turning as they walk a desolate road of death and destruction whilst fighting an insane attraction to each other.

I really enjoyed finding out about Death’s rationale for his quest as well as him as a character as we only got glimpses of him in previous books. I couldn’t imagine anyone better for him than Lazarus who holds her own and is strong, determined and honest when it comes to how she feels about Death and what he is doing. Also, finding out about what has happened to the other horsemen was great and really tied up the series. I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Thalassa, I’m just a little sad that this series has come to an end!
